Sowore Explains Why Trump’s Planned Military Action in Nigeria Shouldn’t Be Celebrated

According to our report from Daily Post on Sunday, November 2, 2025, activist and AAC presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has cautioned Nigerians not to celebrate U.S. President Donald Trump’s latest threat of military action against Nigeria.

Sowore described the move as “dangerous and deceptive,” warning that any foreign military involvement would only worsen Nigeria’s fragile security situation. He argued that Trump’s statements—allegedly in defense of Christians—were not born out of compassion but political self-interest.

According to Sowore, history has shown that U.S. military interventions in countries like Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan brought destruction instead of peace. He maintained that Nigerians must not fall for the illusion that America will rescue them.

“What Nigeria needs are visionary leaders who care about justice and unity—not foreign soldiers or bombs,” Sowore said, urging citizens to reject divisive narratives and focus on rebuilding the nation from within.

He concluded that the true salvation of Nigeria lies in internal reform, fairness, and accountability — not in waiting for outside powers with hidden agendas.
