According to our report, Laolu Akinde has urged President Bola Tinubu to take full responsibility for Nigeria’s escalating security challenges.
Speaking on Inside Sources, Akinde stressed that as commander-in-chief, Tinubu cannot remain a bystander while citizens face killings, kidnappings, and displacement. He highlighted the president’s authority over the military as the key tool to confront terrorists, bandits, and their backers.
Akinde also described former U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent comments as a wake-up call rather than a threat, urging Nigerian leadership to treat it as a mirror reflecting decades of inaction.
He called on Tinubu to collaborate with religious and traditional leaders, implement immediate reforms, and assert decisive control over security operations. “Being commander-in-chief means facing threats head-on and ensuring Nigerians can live without fear,” Akinde emphasized, framing urgent leadership as the nation’s only path to safety.
