Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, has strongly condemned U.S. President Donald Trump for allegedly threatening military action against Nigeria, describing the move as a clear violation of international law.
Speaking in a viral video on Friday, Jibrin said Trump’s comments were “un-American” and contrary to the global order the U.S. claims to defend.
He stated, “If you were here, I’d tell you directly—follow the legal route. Go to the United Nations. Get a resolution there. Anything outside that is unacceptable.”
The lawmaker insisted that no foreign leader has the right to threaten sovereign nations without due process, emphasizing that Nigeria will not be intimidated.
Jibrin maintained that true diplomacy requires dialogue and respect, not threats, warning that Trump’s approach could set a dangerous precedent in global relations. Your phone could be secretly spying on you. Turn off these 3 settings immediately before it’s too late. – Read Original
