Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s chances of returning to Aso Rock in 2027 hinge on voter participation, stressing that high turnout could prevent any single candidate from being “invincible.”
Speaking on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Amaechi noted that the electorate holds ultimate power in determining the nation’s leadership. He highlighted that Tinubu is not undefeatable, recalling the president’s loss in Lagos State during the 2023 elections.
“Voter apathy will enable President Bola Tinubu to return to the Villa. Remind the people that the power rests with them — come out and vote. If Tinubu were truly invincible, how could he have been defeated in Lagos?” Amaechi said, urging Nigerians to actively exercise their civic duty.
