According to our report, former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again raised global concern over the growing wave of violence in Nigeria, describing the country as a “nation of particular concern” due to ongoing attacks and killings targeting Christians.
In a report published by DAILY POST on Friday, October 31, 2025, Trump reacted to the alarming situation shortly after Vice President Kashim Shettima expressed solidarity with Gaza at the UN General Assembly — a move that has stirred criticism among U.S.-based Christian advocacy groups.
While some international observers, including a Vatican representative, dismissed Trump’s comments as exaggerated, insisting that Nigeria’s insecurity affects both Christians and Muslims, the former U.S. president maintained his position, citing disturbing statistics.
“When Christians, or any group, are being killed the way it’s happening in Nigeria — 3,100 deaths compared to 4,476 worldwide — something must be done,” Trump stated.
He urged the U.S. Congress to take immediate action and conduct a comprehensive investigation, stressing that the world cannot remain silent while innocent lives are being lost. Trump also reaffirmed his commitment to defending Christian communities globally, warning that inaction could embolden extremists and worsen the humanitarian crisis.
