According to our report, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, has disclosed that he brought an estimated $100,000 in cash when he returned to Nigeria during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
In an interview with Symfoni TV, Ejimakor explained that the funds were intended to support legal, advocacy, and organizational activities, ensuring uninterrupted operations for politically sensitive initiatives. “I wanted to make sure everything was properly funded and transparent,” he said, stressing that the money was fully accounted for and used only for lawful purposes, including legal representation, logistical support, and administrative costs.
Ejimakor highlighted that financial preparedness is crucial for activists and lawyers handling high-stakes cases in Nigeria. He linked this to the broader need for transparency and accountability in Nnamdi Kanu’s ongoing legal process, urging the government to uphold the rule of law.
