Dancun Owago and his twin brother George Owago are in court after allegedly assaulting a woman for spending a whole night in church. The woman, Samantha Owino, is Dancun’s wife. It is reported that the incident occurred on 1st December 2024 at their residence.
According to court documents, Samantha had informed her husband of her plans to attend an all-night vigil at church, where visitors were to be welcomed as they ushered in a new month. Dancun agreed to her plans, and Samantha assumed all was well. The following morning, Dancun, who works night shifts, called his wife to confirm her whereabouts. Samantha informed him she was leaving the church after a busy night.
Upon arriving home, Samantha was confronted by her brother-in-law George, who questioned her about where she had spent the night. She explained her involvement in welcoming visitors at the church, which delayed her return. However, the explanation did not sit well with the brothers, who allegedly assaulted her, prompting her to report the matter.
In court, the brothers expressed remorse for the incident. The judge released them on a cash bail of Ksh10,000 each, pending the hearing scheduled for 2nd August 2025.
