According to our reporter, Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has dismissed claims that Fulanis were behind the recent kidnapping in Ekpoma. A detailed explanation of why people dream about writing exams or returning to school or eating, crying, seeing snakes has been published on NewsVista.
Speaking with the Onojie of Ekpoma, Okpebholo revealed CCTV footage showed the kidnappers masked their faces—a tactic he says is not traditional to Fulanis.
He added that no ransom was demanded, and the incident quickly sparked protests that were hijacked by hoodlums who vandalized shops and properties.
“Someone was kidnapped without ransom demands, and masked kidnappers? That’s not how Fulanis operate,” Okpebholo said.
The governor vowed to bring the culprits to justice and condemned the violence that followed the kidnapping.
