Singer D4vd Arrested Over ‘Murder’ Of 14-Year-Old Girl

American singer D4vd has been arrested on suspicion of being linked to the death of a 14-year-old girl whose body was found in a Tesla belonging to him.

The 21-year-old singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is currently being detained without bail, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities said he is under investigation by a grand jury over the suspected killing of Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

The 14-year-old’s remains were found in September 2025 inside a Tesla registered in Burke’s name.

Police were alerted after a strong odour was reported coming from a vehicle at a tow yard in Hollywood.

It was gathered that the car had earlier been removed from the Hollywood Hills after it was seen abandoned.

Rivas Hernandez had been declared missing in 2024, with her last known location in Lake Elsinore, roughly 60 miles from downtown Los Angeles.

The county medical examiner later confirmed that her body had been in the car for a long time before it was found.

In a statement, the Los Angeles county district attorney’s office said the matter would be reviewed by its major crimes division, adding that prosecutors would assess whether there is sufficient evidence to file charges.

Prosecutors will review the facts and evidence to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to file charges,” the statement reads.

However, Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski and Regina Peter, the lawyers of D4vd, have denied the allegations, insisting their client had no role in the girl’s death.

They stressed that no charges have been filed and that he is only being held on suspicion.

According to the legal team, the available evidence will clear him, and they plan to strongly challenge the case in court.

Let us be clear — the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death,” the lawyers said.

“There has been no indictment returned by any grand jury in this case and no criminal complaint filed. David has only been detained under suspicion. We will vigorously defend David’s innocence.”

The investigation had remained confidential until February, when Burke’s family including his parents and brother filed a legal objection in Texas to avoid being compelled to testify.
