An old video of media personality Mayowa Lambe has resurfaced online, drawing renewed attention after her recent remarriage and sparking conversations around how she views love and emotional attachment in relationships.
In the clip, which was originally recorded months before she tied the knot again, Mayowa spoke in detail about her personality in relationships and the way she connects emotionally with partners. She explained that her approach to love is not gradual or uncertain, but absolute and decisive.
“It’s either I love you or I don’t,” she said, making it clear that she does not operate in emotional grey areas. For her, affection is either fully present or completely absent, with no in-between state.
She went on to describe the intensity with which she experiences romantic feelings, noting that she does not ease into love over time. Instead, she fully immerses herself when she connects with someone emotionally. According to her, the experience is overwhelming and consumes her entirely once it begins.
She explained this by saying she “collapses” into love when it happens, emphasizing how deeply she gives herself in relationships once she is emotionally invested.
Despite this intensity, Mayowa also clarified that her feelings are not permanent if certain conditions are not met. She stated that when her emotions shift, the change is final and not something she revisits.
She further identified what she considers the most damaging factor in any romantic relationship. For her, emotional respect is non-negotiable, and its absence has a lasting effect on how she feels about a partner.
She said that “disrespect” k!lls the love she has for a person, stressing that once that line is crossed, her emotional connection begins to fade completely and cannot be restored.
The resurfaced video has gained more attention following public discussions about her previous marriage to Roby Ekpo. Reports also indicate that Roby Ekpo expressed surprise over her decision to remarry, describing the development as unexpected in a separate interview.
The renewed circulation of her past comments has continued to generate debate online, with many reflecting on emotional boundaries, relationship expectations, and how deeply personal values influence romantic decisions.
