Popular Nollywood actor Charles Inojie has shared an emotional account of his early life, offering insight into the difficult circumstances that shaped his path long before he became a household name.
In a candid revelation, the actor narrated how a strained family relationship forced him out of his home at a crucial stage in his life. According to him, the situation escalated when his stepmother presented his father with an ultimatum that would permanently alter their family dynamic.
“My stepmom asked my father to choose between her and me, he chose her.
When i got admission into the university, she told my father I had to wait for her own child to grow up so we could go together, a child I’m 18 years older than.
That was how i ended up in the street and the street is doing me well”.
His words reveal the weight of the decision and the impact it had on his future. At a time when he had secured admission into the university, a milestone that should have marked the beginning of a new chapter, he instead faced an unexpected barrier. The condition placed before him meant putting his life on hold for nearly two decades, a demand he could not accept.
