Last Painful Words Wife Told Her Husband Minutes Before Dying

A Kenyan family is in shock and grieving after the death of Anita Mugweru, a young mother. Her husband, a captain with the Kenya Defence Forces, is accused of killing her in a domestic incident that has raised significant public concern.

The incident happened on Tuesday, April 14, at the couple’s home. What started as a normal evening quickly escalated into a heated argument. During the fight, Anita was reportedly stabbed. She was rushed to the hospital but died soon after getting there.

A house helper who saw some of what happened described the events leading up to the tragedy. She mentioned that things started getting tense shortly after Anita came home from work.

The house helper said the husband called for Anita, but Anita asked for a moment to rest before talking. This, she claims, made the argument worse.

The argument reportedly grew worse when the couple started accusing each other of being unfaithful. The house helper recalled Anita expressing her frustration with their continuous marital issues and suggested they hold a family meeting soon to sort things out. She observed that the house became unusually quiet right before the situation turned violent.

The house helper also mentioned seeing the husband go towards the kitchen. She tried to warn Anita, but it was too late. Shortly after, the attack reportedly occurred, leaving Anita with critical injuries.

Anita was rushed to the hospital, but doctors pronounced her dead not long after she arrived. The house helper also stated that the husband later arrived at the hospital, seeming drunk. This led to the police being called immediately, and he was then arrested.

This incident has caused a wave of public anger, with human rights organizations demanding a full investigation and quick justice for Anita’s family.

Her relatives have shared that Anita had previously expressed concerns about ongoing threats within her marriage and had been hoping to settle things with a planned family meeting.
