


Officers of the Kebbi State Hisbah Board have apprehended four adults in two hotels for allegedly engaging in immoral acts.
Director of the Agency, Surajo Usman, disclosed this in his office in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
“On April 25, the Kebbi Hisbah Board raided two hotels and arrested four individuals involved in immoral activities. These include two men and two women. Unfortunately, one of the women is married with four children,” he said.
“The board reiterates its call to the public to fear Allah, uphold moral values, preserve the sanctity of marriage, and avoid acts that may attract the wrath of the Almighty and disrupt peace in society.”
Usman said that the agency’s officers also raided hotels in Birnin Kebbi and Makera towns, where they arrested some girls, boys and older men engaging in immoral act.
“Two children found at different times were brought to Hisbah and have been safely reunited with their parents. A mentally unstable woman from Zuru who has been missing for three years was found and reunited with her family,” he said.
“A woman from Gombe, who has marital issues with her husband in Niger Republic, was brought to the Hisbah. Her parents requested her return, and she was sent back to them.
“A 15-year-old girl, a new Muslim convert, was found with a young Muslim man who kept her in his room and was having sexual relations with her.
“A woman was arrested receiving money from men to have sexual intercourse with her in order to feed her orphaned children.”
On the conflict resolution, Mr Usman added that the agency resolved disputes between several married couples, as well as a dispute between a housemaid and her employers.
He said that the Barekete Family in Abuja also sought the Board’s help over a dispute in respect of debt involving a Kebbi State indigene and an Abuja resident, which was resolved amicable.
The director added that a boy from Ka’oje town who ran away from school and wandering without a destination was found and reunited with his teacher.
He warned those engaged in immoral acts to repent and desist immediately, saying anyone found engaging in or facilitating such behaviour again would face strict legal action with out lenience.
