ADC: As Peter Obi Runs With Kwankwaso, If Moment Atiku Gets The Ticket, They Self-Implode – Okolugbo

In a recent interview shared by Arise News, public affairs analyst, Kenny Okolugbo, has weighed in on the growing permutations ahead of the 2027 general elections, particularly within the emerging opposition coalition.

Okolugbo highlighted the strategic calculations shaping alliances involving key political figures such as Peter Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and Atiku Abubakar. According to him, the success of any coalition will depend largely on how well political actors manage their ambitions and align with existing political realities, including regional considerations and voter expectations.

He warned that certain combinations could weaken the chances of the opposition if not carefully structured. “If the ticket is given to Peter Obi and he runs with Kwankwaso, the moment Atiku gets the ticket, they will have self-imploded,” he stated, emphasizing the risk of fragmentation within the opposition bloc.

The analyst noted that the presence of multiple strong contenders seeking presidential tickets across parties could divide votes and reduce the overall competitiveness of opposition groups against the ruling party. He stressed that unity, compromise, and strategic zoning remain critical factors in building a formidable challenge.

Okolugbo further explained that without a clear consensus among leading figures, the opposition may struggle to present a unified front. As political activities intensify, observers say the decisions made in the coming months will significantly shape the trajectory of Nigeria’s 2027 elections.
