Born on February 14, 1995, in Lagos State, Sanusi Izihaq originally hails from Oyo State. Long before fame came knocking, he faced the struggles that many upcoming entertainers encounter while trying to survive and pursue their dreams.
He reportedly worked several jobs, including working in a bakery, while searching for opportunities in the movie industry.
During his younger years, he earned the nickname “Apa” because of his slim physique and slender hands. Rather than ignoring the name, he embraced it and eventually turned it into a memorable entertainment brand that fans across Nigeria now recognize instantly.
Unlike many actors who entered Nollywood directly through acting, Sanusi started from the technical side of filmmaking.
He worked as a continuity manager, a role that requires careful attention to detail on movie sets. His responsibility was to ensure scenes matched properly in terms of costumes, props, actor positioning, and movement.
This experience gave him a deeper understanding of movie production and storytelling. It also helped him develop a strong knowledge of how films are created beyond just performing in front of the camera.
