Kris Asimonye, wife of popular Nigerian comedian Bovi, has emotionally reflected on her long journey through motherhood while celebrating Mother’s Day.

In a touching message shared on social media, Kris opened up about the physical, emotional and personal sacrifices she has made over the past 17 years while raising her children.

The mother of three shared a video compilation featuring moments from her pregnancies and family life, revealing that she had gone through four pregnancies, three childbirths and one life-threatening ectopic pregnancy that nearly claimed her life.

“Reminiscing on the last 17 years of motherhood… ❤️

10 months pregnant… four times in a row.

Three times in the labour ward.

One near-death ectopic pregnancy that changed my life forever,” she wrote.

Kris explained that despite the pain, exhaustion and challenges she encountered, she remains grateful for the experience of being a mother and has no regrets about the sacrifices she made for her children.

“Through it all, I have loved, nurtured, sacrificed, and lived selflessly for my children — and I do not regret a single moment,” she added.

She further recounted the realities of motherhood, including sleepless nights, emotional breakdowns, school responsibilities and the struggles of raising children abroad without the support of extended family members.

According to her, parenting demanded almost every part of her life and required her to constantly put her children first before herself.

“The tears, the exhaustion, the silent prayers… it was all worth it,” she stated.

Kris noted that motherhood affected every aspect of her daily routine, including her personal life, sleep, body and career pursuits.

“I poured everything I had into motherhood.

My time.

My body.

My sleep.

My business.

My entire existence centred on loving and raising my children,” she wrote.

The entrepreneur and mother also revealed that as her children continue to grow older and become more independent, she is gradually reconnecting with herself and rediscovering parts of her identity she had set aside for years while focusing on parenting.

Despite that, she stressed that she still remains emotionally present and available for her children whenever they need her.

Her emotional post resonated with many women online, especially mothers who related to her experiences and praised her honesty about the realities of parenting.

Several social media users flooded her comment section with encouraging messages, applauding her strength and celebrating her dedication to her family.

Kris concluded her message by sending love to mothers around the world while acknowledging the countless unseen sacrifices women make daily for their children and families.

“Motherhood is not easy, but it is one of the deepest forms of love there is… Happy Mother’s Day to all the strong, tired, beautiful mothers,” she wrote.

Her heartfelt reflection has since sparked conversations online about motherhood, resilience and the emotional demands that often come with raising children.
