Former CPC National Secretary, Buba Galadima, has called on the Federal Government to urgently adopt advanced technology in the fight against terrorism, following shocking claims about the equipment allegedly used by insurgents in Sambisa Forest.
Speaking during an interview on AIT, Galadima said he became deeply worried after reading reports on social media about the killing of Brigadier General Musa Uba. According to him, a young man claimed he had spoken directly to the commander of the terrorists involved in the attack.
Galadima explained that the boy alleged the terrorists possess a sophisticated gadget capable of showing them the entire Sambisa Forest in real time — including every movement in and out of the area.
He argued that if terrorists can access such powerful surveillance tools, then Nigeria, with its resources, should be able to deploy satellites and superior technology to detect and neutralize terror groups.
In his words:
“We were told when Brigadier General Musa Uba was killed. On social media, a boy said he was speaking to the commander of those who arrested the Brigadier General and said that in front of them, they see the whole of Sambisa Forest — whoever comes in and whoever goes out. If terrorists can have such a gadget, what stops the Nigerian government from using satellite to pick them and take them out?”
