Bayo Onanuga, the senior special adviser on Information and Strategy has taken to his official X handle to react after erstwhile African Democratic Congress, ADC Chieftain Leke Abejide described the party as a condemned vehicle.
According to his statements which triggered massive public reactions, the outspoken senior aide to President Tinubu pointed out that it was not surprising that 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi was leaving them.
However, while no concrete proof exists that the former Anambra State governor was leaving the ADC, speculations were rift across various social media platforms that Peter Obi and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso were looking for another platform to contest in 2027.
This came amid the crisis that continued to rock the African Democratic Congress with the recent supreme court judgement failing to settle nerves. Atiku Abubakar, one of the founding members of the ADC was also considered a stumbling block to the former Anambra governor’s presidential ambitions.
