Prominent Nigerian figures, including business mogul Aliko Dangote, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, were among the distinguished guests who attended the special wake service held in honour of the late Olusegun Awolowo in Lagos. The solemn event was captured in a series of videos and photos shared by Nigerian journalist Dele Momodu on his official Instagram account on Wednesday, 3rd December 2025.

The service, which drew family members, friends, political associates and notable personalities from across the country, was marked by heartfelt tributes, hymns, and moments of deep reflection. In the footage shared by Momodu, guests were seen offering condolences to the Awolowo family while reflecting on the life and legacy of the late statesman.
