Two Israeli soldiers were injured Tuesday during a stabbing attack near an Israeli settlement north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to the Israeli army. The assailant was shot dead by soldiers during a search operation in the Ateret settlement, while the soldiers sustained minor injuries and received prompt medical attention.
This incident follows another attack on Monday evening in the southern West Bank, where a female Israeli soldier was injured in a car-ramming near the Kiryat Arba settlement in Hebron. Security forces reportedly neutralized the assailant the following morning.
In a separate event near Hebron’s Abu Dajjan area, Israeli soldiers shot and killed a 17-year-old Palestinian boy, confirmed the Palestinian Ministry of Health. These incidents underscore the ongoing tensions in the occupied West Bank, where confrontations between Israeli forces and Palestinians frequently result in casualties on both sides.
The Israeli army stated that it continues to conduct security operations in and around settlements to prevent further attacks and emphasized its commitment to safeguarding personnel in the region. Public broadcaster KAN reported that the injured soldiers are currently in stable condition.
Authorities have maintained heightened security measures around settlements and checkpoints following the attacks, as tensions remain high.
