Atiku Changed 7 Parties Over A Period Of 23years, Peter Obi Changed Parties 5 Times In 18years -Bwala

Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, has launched a sharp attack on former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, accusing him of hypocrisy and political desperation.

In a strongly worded post on X on Sunday, May 3, 2026, Bwala shared a video clip of Obi criticising party switching, describing it as “another banger.” He argued that Obi is “not a man Nigerians can believe one bit,” pointing to what he called frequent changes in political allegiance.

The remarks come amid ongoing political realignments in Nigeria. Obi, who previously served as Anambra governor under APGA before moving to PDP and later Labour Party, recently aligned with the African Democratic Congress. Atiku has also navigated multiple party platforms throughout his career.

“Desperate people do desperate things,” Bwala stated. He contrasted Obi’s record with that of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, claiming Obi changed parties five times in less than 18 years, while Atiku made seven switches over 23 years.

“Therefore 2027, on the ballot would be President Bola Tinubu versus desperadoes,” Bwala declared, positioning Tinubu as the steady choice against what he termed unstable opposition figures.

He wrote, “Another banger. Hear him here @PeterObi kicking against changing parties. He is not a man Nigerians can believe one bit. Desperate people do desperate things. Atiku changed parties 7 times but over a period of 23 years, however peter Obi changed parties 5 times in just less than 18 years. Therefore 2027, on the ballot would be President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT v desperadoes”…Read_More…
