Bandits:I Told Them That The Money They Are Asking For, We’ve Never Seen That Kind Of Money–Relative

Families in Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State are increasingly distressed after bandits who abducted ten residents reportedly threatened to kill the victims if ransom demands are not met. The report, published by Daily Post on Sunday, November 30, 2025, indicates that the abductors have been placing heavy pressure on one relative who serves as their communication link to the other families.

According to the intermediary, the bandits call multiple times every day—sometimes three to four times—warning that any delay or refusal to meet their conditions would result in the victims’ deaths. These repeated threats have created deep psychological strain among the affected families, many of whom are already struggling to cope with the situation.

The relative further disclosed that the ransom being demanded is far beyond what any of the families can afford. He explained that they have never handled such an amount of money in their lives, noting that their only possessions are small farmlands and a few animals. This financial limitation has left them in despair as they continue to plead for the victims’ safety.

Residents of Tsanyawa say incidents of kidnapping and attacks have become disruptive to daily life, forcing many to live cautiously and avoid undue movement. Community leaders have reportedly been engaging with the families while awaiting intervention from security agencies.
