Governor Bago sacks 30 aides

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bagom has relieved 30 special advisers of their duties as part of efforts to reorganise the structure of his administration.

 

The development was confirmed in a statement released on Tuesday, December 16,  by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Bologi Ibrahim, who said the move was aimed at restructuring governance in the state.

 

According to the statement, the governor made the announcement during his first Council meeting with the newly inaugurated commissioners at the Council Chamber of the Government House in Minna.

 

Bologi explained that the affected advisers were disengaged to enable the governor review, realign and reposition the advisory roles to improve effectiveness and efficiency in line with the New Niger agenda.

 

He added that the governor expressed appreciation to the advisers for their sacrifices and contributions to the administration and wished them success in their future pursuits.
