Gunmen invaded Nding Sesut community in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, k!lling six people, including an entire family of five.
The tragic incident occurred at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
A community member, Pam Emmanuel Gyang, confirmed the incident, describing the situation as heartbreaking for residents.
He lamented that beyond online debates, what the community urgently needs is decisive action to ensure the safety of lives and property and to prevent further tragedies.
The Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders, Rwang Tengwong, confirmed the k!llings and requested intervention by security agencies.
Tengwong disclosed that gunmen also attempted to attack the Rim community in Riyom Local Government Area but were repelled by local vigilantes and personnel of Operation Rainbow, the state-owned security outfit.
