Martha (not her real name), a woman from Kenya, has shared the difficult situation she faces after becoming pregnant from an affair with her husband’s employer. She revealed that she is now anxious about the possibility of her husband discovering the infidelity once the baby is born.
Martha explained that her husband secured a job with a Chinese contractor and she would prepare and deliver his lunch daily to save money. Over time, she caught the attention of her husband’s boss, who asked for her phone number. Initially, she thought it was simply to facilitate communication regarding her husband’s work.
However, the interactions soon escalated. The boss complimented her and offered opportunities, including connecting her with a fashion company abroad. Martha agreed to meet him at a hotel, where the relationship became physical. Over the following months, they continued seeing each other secretly.
Martha later discovered she was pregnant and is convinced that the baby is her boss’s. She now faces emotional distress, as communication with the boss ceased after learning about the pregnancy, leaving her uncertain about how to handle the situation with her husband.
