Nollywood actor, Uti Nwachukwu has expressed deep grief following the tragic passing of his friend and colleague, Alexx Ekubo.
In an emotional tribute shared on his Instagram page, the media personality confessed to feeling “angry, devastated, sad, confused, and drained” as he struggles to process the loss of someone he described as his best friend for many years.
Uti revealed that he had viewed Ekubo’s remains, noting comfortingly that the late actor retained his “signature smile” even in death.
Reflecting on Ekubo’s life, Nwachukwu addressed the persistent online cyberbullying his friend endured over the years, praising him for always standing “tall and gallant” against internet trolls. Concluding the heartbreaking post, Nwachukwu stated that while he will deeply miss his friend, he is not yet emotionally ready to say a final goodbye.
His post reads;
I still cannot put my thoughts together.
I am angry. I am devastated. I am sad. I am confused. I AM DRAINED. You were my best friend for years.
Alexx! Na so? It felt like you were sleeping ! I felt like if I tapped your shoulder you would laugh and wake up and say PSYCHE!!! See how Una de cry ! And then we’d all laugh and say no try this nonsense again o! Your signature smile on your face as you slept on gave me some solace that truly you are in a better place. I never thought I’d ever have to type these words brother.
