Big Brother Naija reality star Phyna has shared her thoughts on motherhood, saying she is not interested in having biological children.
In a recent video, Phyna explained that, despite knowing she can have kids, she prefers to be a “cat and dog mum.”
“I’m very fertile, but I don’t have any desire to have a biological child. I just wanna be a cat and dog mum,” she said.
The BBNaija star also spoke about how life and relationships can shape a woman’s outlook.
According to her, some women begin to feel a stronger connection to pets as they get older, especially after dealing with heartbreak or failed relationships.
She suggested that repeated emotional setbacks can influence how women see love and commitment, leading some to look for comfort and peace in other areas of life, including caring for animals.
Phyna added that she believes she is at that stage herself, where her focus has shifted away from traditional expectations like settling down and starting a family.
“I think the love for animals in women kicks in when we’re approaching our 30s, some of them in their mid-30s, late 30s, especially when you don’t see yourself settling down.
“Maybe you’ve been in too many broken relationships, you’ve gone through too many heartbreaks, I don’t know.
“So women tend to start developing a likeness for pets like that, and I think I’m in that stage. I think I’m in that stage right now,” she added
Her comments have since stirred mixed reactions online, with many people debating her views and sharing their own opinions about her stance.

“I’m very fertile, but I have no desire to have a biological child. Instead, I want to adopt dogs and cats. It feels like a woman’s love for animals really kicks in as she approaches 30 — especially when she refuses to settle for less.”
