Popular Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has opened up about some of the darkest moments in her life, revealing struggles that once made her contemplate suicide. She also shared how, despite being raised in a Christian home, she used to smoke cigarettes and constantly feared an untimely death.
In a candid conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo on With Chude, Toyin spoke about the emotional battles she faced. She admitted that there were times when she wasn’t afraid of death at all.
“I wasn’t scared of dying. I remember telling someone that I could jump into the water from Third Mainland Bridge, and people would come to save me. Sometimes, my anxiety was so intense that my heart would race uncontrollably. I’m a Christian, but I used to smoke cigarettes, and I always thought I wouldn’t live long.”
Toyin’s heartfelt confession sheds light on the silent struggles many people face behind closed doors.
