“It Was One Of The Most Gory Sites I Ever Watched” – Paul Enenche on Terrorism Videos He Watched

Enenche recounted an experience from over ten years ago when he and others were shown a video depicting the brutal acts of terrorists, including a beheading. “It was one of the most gory sites I ever watched,” he said. The image stayed with him for years, prompting a personal vow to avoid such content. The pastor emphasized that violent media affects both psychological and spiritual wellbeing.

He highlighted that negative thinking and imagining traumatic events can shape reality if allowed to persist. Quoting Proverbs 23:7 — “As he thinketh in his heart, so is he” — Enenche noted that dwelling on violence or disasters fosters fear and anxiety, which can weaken faith.

The cleric also linked the circulation of terrifying content to the broader insecurity in Nigeria, observing that such imagery is often used to manipulate public perception and emotions. He encouraged believers to focus on God’s word, speak faith-filled declarations, and reject harmful visualizations.

Enenche advised Christians to be deliberate about what they allow into their minds and hearts, stressing that imagination influences actions, emotions, and spiritual growth. Replacing fear-driven thoughts with prayer, reflection, and meditation on God’s promises was highlighted as key to maintaining hope and resilience.
