A motor parts dealer and businessman, Christian Edozie, during an interview with The Punch, spoke about the circumstances that led to the mental instability of his 16-year-old son after his son confessed to him that he had been sodomized by a Lagos hotel owner.
While narrating what happened after his son made the confession, Edozie stated that upon returning from his trip, they went directly to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at Isheri Osun Police Station to make an entry. The DPO acknowledged that such incidents occurred but mentioned that he could not confirm it. He then provided him with a paper and instructed him to visit Mirabel Medical Centre in Ikeja.
At the medical centre, Edozie was informed that his son had experienced penetration through the anus twice. However, he was not given the medical report, as the staff explained that it was confidential and would be sent directly to the police station that had referred him.
Further discussing the situation, he said that they immediately went back to the DPO, where his wife and son were asked to write their statements.
He added, “At that time, my son was normal. But after writing the statement, within two days, my son went mad and began to misbehave. As of now, I have not been sleeping in my house since January because my son is being tormented spiritually.”
