Senior Pastor Dr. Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre has urged that military personnel receive anointing with oil to gain divine protection and support in operations against terrorists. The cleric shared a testimony highlighting how spiritual intervention has previously complemented military efforts.
In a sermon aired Wednesday, December 3, 2025, Pastor Enenche declared, “Let the military come, let’s pour oil on their head,” emphasizing the church’s readiness to provide spiritual backing alongside armed forces’ operational strategies.
He recounted a specific instance involving a high-ranking officer—formerly a Lieutenant Colonel and now a Major General—who commanded the 231 Battalion in Borno State. The officer, Pastor Enenche explained, was anointed at the church, applied the oil on himself, and also anointed the weapons of his troops.
According to the pastor, the battalion subsequently achieved significant successes, including defeating terrorists, capturing enemy equipment, and the officer personally surviving an ambush unharmed.
