Minister of Works David Umahi has reunited with his primary school classmates nearly five decades after they completed their studies at Umunaga Community School in Uburu, Ebonyi State. The gathering, held in Enugu and shared online by Francis Nwaze, brought members of the Class of 1976 together for the first time since childhood.
The reunion was an emotional moment filled with nostalgia as old friends laughed, exchanged stories, and reconnected after 49 years apart. Many attendees reflected on how far life had taken them since their days as young pupils growing up in Uburu.
For Umahi, who has gone on to become an engineer, businessman, former governor of Ebonyi State, and now the Minister of Works, the event served as a meaningful homecoming. He joined his former classmates in recalling their formative years and appreciating the foundation that shaped their individual journeys.
The gathering, marked by warm embraces and heartfelt memories, underscored the lasting power of childhood bonds and the importance of the experiences that influence early life.
