My Hubby Slept With Me Two Days After I Gave Birth, I Complained And He Said That Why He Married Me

Florence Waithera from Muranga has opened up about the challenges she faced in her early marriage, revealing incidents of abuse that led her to leave her husband just two months after the birth of their child.

Florence grew up in Muranga before moving to Nakuru, where she worked as a house help. She met her husband through church, and after developing a friendship, they were prayed for by a pastor before she moved in with him. Initially hopeful because her husband was the son of her pastor, Florence soon realized that her life would not be as peaceful as she had imagined.

She says that during her pregnancy, her mother-in-law was particularly harsh, waking her early to perform household chores. The situation worsened after she gave birth, when she alleges that her husband forced himself on her just two days after delivery. When she confronted him, he reportedly said that this was the reason he married her.

Feeling trapped and unsupported, Florence sought help from her mother-in-law, who reportedly sided with her son and questioned her intentions, leaving Florence with little choice but to endure the ordeal temporarily.

Ultimately, the abuse escalated to physical violence, prompting Florence to leave the marriage when her baby was only two months old. She recalls being hospitalized due to the assault and has vowed never to return.
