David, a resident of Nairobi, has recounted the emotional pain he endured after his wife of 10 years divorced him while he was hospitalized and later remarried, leaving him fearful of women.
According to David, he was raised by a strict stepmother, which eventually led him to spend time in children’s homes. After completing high school, he moved to Nairobi to start his life, where he met his future wife. The couple married and were blessed with two children.
His life took a tragic turn when he was involved in a serious accident that left him with severe leg injuries. He remained hospitalized for an entire year, relying solely on his wife for support.
David revealed that after days without any visit, he decided to call his wife, only for a man to answer the phone and tell him that his wife had already married him. Heartbroken, David spent much of his hospitalization in tears. Upon discharge, he discovered that his wife had taken everything from their home.
Fortunately, his landlord offered him a place to stay while he recovered. David said the experience left him wary of women and reluctant to marry again, though he added that he has long since forgiven his wife and found peace in his heart.
