Emeka, a man from Lagos, Nigeria, has shared his emotional story of how his wedding day took a tragic turn. His wife, Grace, was involved in a car accident on their wedding day while on her way to the venue. The wedding ultimately took place at the hospital where she was admitted after the accident.
According to Emeka, he was preparing for the big day when he received a distressing call from one of his in-laws. They informed him that Grace and her family had been in an accident and were rushed to the hospital.
He quickly made his way to the hospital, where Grace explained what had happened. She and her parents were traveling in the same car, but just a few kilometers from the wedding venue, they were involved in a terrible accident. Tragically, Grace’s father lost his life, while others sustained injuries.
Despite the circumstances, Emeka says their pastor insisted that the wedding proceed as planned. The venue was changed from the church to the hospital. The couple exchanged vows by Grace’s hospital bed, with doctors, nurses, and other patients as witnesses to their unique wedding.
Since then, life has been challenging for Emeka and Grace. He has to work tirelessly to afford her medication, and he also takes on all the household responsibilities as Grace spends most of her time in bed.
Emeka is now appealing to well-wishers to assist with Grace’s medical treatment. He hopes she can receive further care to regain her ability to walk and resume a normal life.
