Former presidential candidate, Peter Ameh, has publicly reacted to Olisa Metuh’s explanation for leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joining the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement shared on his official X account on Sunday, November 30, 2025, Ameh expressed surprise over Metuh’s decision, given the former PDP chieftain’s past legal challenges. Metuh had earlier stated that he left the PDP because he felt abandoned and neglected by the party.
Reacting to this, Ameh wrote: “Alright, let’s agree you’re angry because you feel PDP abandoned you. But seriously, is that enough reason to now join APC, the same party that unjustly prosecuted and jailed you? I genuinely don’t understand some people.”
Ameh’s comments highlight ongoing debates around loyalty, political realignment, and the motivations behind high-profile defections in Nigeria.
