Gbenga Daniel, the senator representing Ogun East, was stopped from attending a caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday in Ijebu Ode.
A video shared on X shows the moment his convoy was turned back at the entrance of Adeola Odutola Hall, where the meeting was taking place.
Speaking to his supporters from a white bus outside the venue, Gbenga Daniel said any decisions made at the meeting should not be recognised.
The senator explained that they came for the Ogun East APC caucus meeting but were unexpectedly denied entry,.
“We are here for our Ogun east APC caucus meeting, but surprisingly, we have been barred. We are told that we can’t enter, but let it be said that whatever they do here today is null and void,” he said in Yoruba.
