Zayn Malik has shocked fans by announcing the cancellation of the U.S. leg of his “KONNAKOL Tour.”

In an Instagram Story posted on Friday, May 1, the singer revealed he needs to reduce his upcoming schedule to focus on his recovery following a recent hospitalization for an undisclosed health issue.

“I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can,” Malik wrote, while confirming that the U.S. dates—originally set to begin July 12—have been axed. He assured fans he is “doing well” and expects to return “better and stronger than before.”

The health update follows a tumultuous month for the star. Malik was hospitalized in April, forcing him to cancel several promotional appearances for his latest album.

Additionally, a planned three-part Netflix road trip docuseries featuring Malik and former bandmate Louis Tomlinson has reportedly been canceled following reports of a physical altercation.

According to sources, a violent row occurred between Malik and Tomlinson during filming six months ago.

Claims suggest Malik punched Tomlinson in the face after a remark was made regarding Tomlinson’s late mother, who passed away in 2016. The incident reportedly left Tomlinson with a concussion and a facial cut, and insiders suggest the two have not spoken since the clash.
