According to Teni, the creative process started during a meeting at Olamide’s studio, where the atmosphere and musical energy immediately inspired the record.

She further noted that the record was built on teamwork, mutual creativity, and a relaxed atmosphere in the studio.

“It was a collaborative effort. The both of us came together, exchanged ideas and had fun making this record together,” she explained.

The singer also recalled a funny moment that happened during the music video shoot for Zion, revealing how her admiration and respect for Olamide led her to unexpectedly copy his actions on set.

“During the shoot, when we were filming Olamide’s verse, he knelt down and I was like, ‘What!’ So I joined him to kneel down because who am I not to kneel down when my ‘idolo’ is kneeling down,” she recounted.

“It was funny because the director had to tell me to stand up. It just shows how much I consciously and unconsciously love and respect the mystery called Olamide Badoo,” Teni added.

Since its release, Zion has continued to enjoy strong reception from fans, with many praising the chemistry between both artistes and the song’s unique sound.

Teni, known for her energetic personality and vocal versatility, has remained one of Nigeria’s most prominent female artistes, while Olamide continues to maintain his influence as one of Afrobeats’ most respected hitmakers and music executives.
