Renowned Nigerian prophet Primate Elijah Ayodele has cautioned the government and the Nigeria Customs Service against implementing new tariffs or freight increases, warning that such measures could negatively affect the economy and trigger internal crises within the agency.
Speaking in a recent Facebook video, Ayodele emphasized that proposed adjustments to clearing costs could have far-reaching consequences. “The government must work on tariff and freight of clearing and clearing agencies. Don’t increase it,” he said, noting that any hike could “boomerang on the economy.”
Addressing Customs leadership directly, Ayodele advised caution against external pressures for upward adjustments. “Customs, don’t increase it too. Customs chief or boss, they will set you up, they will frame you,” he remarked, suggesting that internal sabotage could occur if new policies provoke public backlash.
He added that poorly managed changes could damage the reputations of top officials, urging strategic foresight. “And this can tarnish your image. Let’s wait and see,” Ayodele noted, reinforcing his belief in the potential consequences of hasty policy decisions.
Challenging skeptics, he said, “You may say I’m talking rubbish, but that my rubbish will make sense,” underscoring his conviction that the prophecy would eventually be proven accurate.
