Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre has urged the complete disarmament of armed herdsmen in Nigeria, emphasizing that carrying weapons in rural communities is unacceptable.
In a video shared by Church Gist on Sunday, November 30, 2025, Enenche told congregants, “Terrorists are to be disarmed at all cost,” warning that no individual should roam the bush with firearms. He stressed that herders must respect the livelihoods of farmers and not use cattle rearing as a pretext for predation.
“If you see any herdsman carrying a weapon, it is an abomination,” the cleric added, highlighting the moral and social consequences of armed cattle herding. He condemned farm destruction as a “brainless act” that threatens Nigeria’s food security and national well-being.
Enenche also voiced support for legislative measures that ban open grazing in certain states, describing such policies as vital for ensuring community safety and protecting farmers. He called for collective vigilance to prevent violence and secure rural areas.
