Popular Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned of a potential rise in fire-related incidents across Nigeria during December, January, and February. He urged citizens and government agencies to exercise heightened vigilance as the country approaches the end-of-year period.
In a recent Facebook video, Ayodele cautioned that both domestic and industrial fires could increase, with some incidents potentially defying conventional explanation. “There will be a lot of fire outbreak this December, January, February. Some incidents of fire outbreak may not be able to be explained. They may not be able to explain it,” he stated, emphasizing the unpredictability of the expected events.
The cleric also suggested that these outbreaks may not be isolated, but could occur across multiple regions simultaneously, warning of nationwide implications. “You can see explosion of fire outbreak in Nigeria as a whole. Let’s watch about this,” he added.
Ayodele’s warning underscores the need for proactive safety measures, including fire prevention strategies, emergency preparedness, and community awareness, to mitigate potential risks in the coming months.
