Three Siblings Killed, Placed in Freezer in Anambra Community

Three siblings—a boy aged five and two girls aged seven and nine—were reportedly murdered and placed in a deep freezer at a residence in Nnewichi, Nnewi, Anambra State, by yet-to-be-identified assailants.

The eldest of the siblings, a girl, Ejezie Chikaima Daviana, along with her younger sister, Ejezie Chimziterem Dominica, and their only brother, Edozie Chimdilim David, were at home when their mother, Mrs. Chikazor Ejezie, a lecturer and nurse, left to sit for an examination on the fateful day.

Upon returning from the examination, the mother found the house unusually wide open. This was strange, as the children always locked the door whenever they went out in their parents’ absence.

Recounting the tragic incident, the children’s father, Mr. Ejezie Udobi, who is based in Irrua, Edo State, said he was informed about the incident by his wife and rushed to Nnewichi.

“My wife told me that after searching for the kids herself and with a search party, without success, she opened the deep freezer in despair. Behold, the lifeless bodies of my children were inside,” he narrated.

“We live in a bungalow with two tenants and the landlord. The kids were eating when the assailants stormed the house at about noon, as there were traces of food left in their plates, seemingly abandoned in a hurry.”

The corpses of the children have been deposited in a morgue, while the case has been reported to the Central Police Station (CPS) Nnewi. Investigations are ongoing.

“You can see that I am completely devastated. My three kids killed at the same time by yet-to-be-identified assailants,” the grieving father lamented.
