A Nigerian lady, Christie, has revealed that she and her husband were not on speaking terms the day he paid her bride price.
Christie, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Thursday, April 16, said they had a small misunderstanding and were angry with each other.
According to her, they both stayed quiet throughout the ceremony and left together, still angry.
She added that despite the shaky start and nagging doubts, their relationship is stronger than ever.
“When my husband came with his family to pay my bride price, we weren’t even talking. We had a little misunderstanding, and throughout the whole process, we just stayed quiet,” she wrote.
Deep down, I kept asking myself questions:“Is this truly the will of God?” “Why is he still going ahead with this while we’re both upset?”
He went ahead and paid, I agreed to go with him, yet we were still angry with each other.
But look at us today… this can only be God.
See how far the Lord has brought us. See how far He has kept us. See how far He has guided us on this journey.
Today, we are stronger, still moving forward, supporting and helping each other.
