We’ll Start Putting Chemicals On Farms And If Their Cows Die, We’re Ready For Self Defense- Dachomo

A video shared by Channels TV has shown Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo expressing deep concern over rising tensions between farmers and herders in Plateau State, calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently intervene before the situation worsens.

Reverend Dachomo said farmers in affected communities have continued to suffer from recurring clashes linked to grazing activities. Speaking in the video posted on December 1, he claimed that unresolved security issues were heightening frustration among residents who depend on farming for survival.

The cleric cautioned that community members may resort to desperate measures if they feel unprotected, urging the Federal Government to prioritise peaceful resolutions and strengthen security oversight. He also alleged that some security personnel were not doing enough to de‑escalate tensions in certain areas of the state.

He appealed to the government to focus on restoring trust, reviewing military deployment, and ensuring fair treatment of all parties involved. According to him, genuine peace is possible only when communities feel heard, protected, and treated with fairness.
