Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has declared that she would throw her full support behind Seyi Tinubu if he decides to contest for any political office in the future.
The actress made this known in a post shared on her Instagram page, where she explained that her stance is driven by loyalty and personal experience. According to her, Seyi Tinubu showed appreciation for her humanitarian efforts at a time when many others dismissed them.
“If SEYI TINUBU (@seyitinubu )comes out to contest for anything now or later, I will LOUDLY campaign for him!” she wrote.
Martins also addressed the criticism she has faced on social media, particularly over her charity work, which some users have described as attention-seeking. She rejected those claims, insisting her actions were genuine.
“You all bully me for being loyal to a man who saw value in me when each and every one of you saw my humanity in service as clout chasing?” she said.
The actress further reacted to being labelled a “political tool,” a tag she said has been used by critics. Rather than reject it, she embraced the label, while making a distinction about where her loyalty lies.
“You see this una new title ‘political tool’? I accept it with my full chest, only for Seyi Tinubu’s government, not his father’s government! I am BIG on loyalty, get used to it,” she added.
Beyond politics, Martins used the opportunity to speak about her ongoing charity work. Known for organising cooking outreach programmes for underserved communities, she revealed plans to expand her efforts to rural areas.
“NOTICE: I am working to get a good truck for my charity outreach so I can reach rural areas to feed vulnerable communities, as my car is too small to accommodate my team and cooking utensils for the trip. Kindly support this project if you can and remain blessed,” she wrote.
Her comments have continued to generate mixed reactions online, with some praising her commitment to humanitarian work, while others remain critical of her political position and public declarations of support.
