‘You Don’t Trust Anybody, You Are A Terrorist’ — Iginla Rebukes Pastors Who Refuse To Raise Leaders

Pastor Joshua Iginla has issued a stern warning to church leaders who refuse to delegate responsibilities, describing excessive control as detrimental to ministry growth. Speaking during a recent teaching session, he condemned pastors who handle every aspect of a service out of fear and distrust.

“Stop taking testimony, taking opening prayer, taking offering, preaching 14 times. No pastor is there. You don’t trust anybody. You are suspecting everybody. You are not a leader. You are a terrorist,” Iginla declared, highlighting how such behavior prevents others from developing within the church.

He emphasized that true leadership is measured by the ability to empower others, not by performing every task personally. Pastors who restrict participation out of insecurity are undermining the potential of their team and overcomplicating ministry. “The glory of a leader is to raise leaders. Hear me, hear me very well,” he added, urging ministers to rethink their approach.

Iginla also stressed that biblical leadership is about building disciples, not merely accumulating followers. By hoarding responsibilities, leaders stray from God’s intended model and burden themselves unnecessarily. “God has called us to make disciples of all nations, not members of all nations,” he said.
