Nigerian music star Asake has officially set a release date for his highly anticipated fourth studio album titled M$NEY, bringing an end to months of speculation among fans.

The project is scheduled to drop on May 1, 2026, marking another major milestone in what has been a fast-rising and record-breaking career.

The upcoming album is expected to feature 13 tracks, including three already released singles that have generated significant buzz. These include “Why Love,” “Badman Gangster,” which features French music star Tiakola, and “Worship,” a collaboration with internationally renowned DJ and producer DJ Snake

The choice of collaborators highlights Asake’s growing global reach and his continued effort to expand beyond the African music scene.

Asake revealed the album’s release date through a creative social media post that featured a stone carver crafting what appeared to be the album’s cover art.

The announcement quickly gained traction online, with fans expressing excitement and high expectations for the project.

The year 2026 has already proven to be a busy one for the singer. Earlier in the year, he teamed up with Afrobeats superstar Wizkid to release a joint EP titled REAL VOL 1

The project included the hit track “Jogodo,” which climbed to the top of Nigeria’s TurnTable Top 100 chart, further solidifying Asake’s dominance in the industry.

M$NEY will be Asake’s fourth album in just five years, a remarkable achievement that underscores his consistency and work rate since breaking into the mainstream.

His previous projects have not only delivered commercial success but have also helped him become one of the most streamed artists in Nigeria, particularly on platforms like Spotify.

Music analysts believe the new album will build on the success of his earlier works, including Lungu Boy, which featured a diverse lineup of international stars such as Travis Scott, Central Cee, Stormzy, and Ludmilla

With such collaborations, Asake has consistently shown his ability to bridge cultures and appeal to a global audience.

Despite his expanding international influence, Asake has maintained a strong connection to his roots by frequently incorporating Yoruba language and indigenous sounds into his music.

His signature blend of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and street-inspired rhythms has played a key role in shaping contemporary Nigerian pop music.

As anticipation builds ahead of the May release, M$NEY is expected to further cement Asake’s status as one of Africa’s leading music exports.

For fans and industry watchers alike, the album represents not just another project, but a defining moment in the career of an artist who continues to push boundaries and redefine success in modern Afrobeats.
