Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has opened up about how she landed what she described as her first billion-naira deal, attributing the breakthrough to discipline, self-control, and how she managed access to influential people over the years.

She noted that she was not necessarily the most qualified candidate for the role, which made the achievement even more surprising to her.
According to her, the opportunity came through a highly influential figure in Africa who had observed her over time. She recalled that the individual praised her for consistently maintaining boundaries and never misusing access, despite being in close professional circles.
Tonto Dikeh emphasised that access to powerful or influential people should be treated as a privilege rather than an entitlement, warning against taking relationships for granted or behaving irresponsibly in professional spaces.
