“If I Can’t Have Her, No One Will” – Alleged Plot Behind Horrific Acid Attack on Choir Star Mary

A chilling case of alleged obsession turned violent has stunned many after police arrested a man identified as Elvis Opiyo in connection with a brutal acid attack that has left a young woman battling for her life.

According to investigators, the victim, Claire, a devoted member of the Redemption Ministers SDA choir, had been in a long-term relationship with Opiyo that reportedly lasted nearly eight years. During that period, Opiyo is said to have financially supported her education from secondary school through university, as well as assisted her family.

However, behind the scenes, the relationship allegedly strained Opiyo’s marriage, with sources claiming his wife and children endured years of emotional turmoil. Matters reportedly took a decisive turn after Claire graduated last year and chose to end the relationship, telling Opiyo she had met someone else and no longer wished to continue as a second partner.

Authorities believe the breakup deeply unsettled Opiyo. Reports indicate that he struggled to cope with the separation and had even attempted to take his own life two months ago, though he survived.

Detectives now suspect that what followed was a calculated act of revenge. It is alleged that Opiyo orchestrated the attack by hiring an individual to assault Claire using sulphuric acid — an act that left her with life-threatening injuries.

Claire is currently admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital in critical condition, with medical teams working around the clock to stabilize her.

Police have since taken Opiyo into custody as investigations intensify. The case has sparked outrage online, with many Kenyans demanding justice for the victim and stricter punishment for perpetrators of such heinous crimes.
